BACP Ethical Code of Practice
I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) to Level 5 work under the BACP ethical framework for counsellors and psychotherapists which was established by the BACP. This comprehensive framework provides clear guidance and principles to ensure the highest professional conduct and client care standards. Emphasising integrity, respect, and confidentiality, the code outlines ethical responsibilities and obligations essential for maintaining trust and promoting the wellbeing of clients. Grounded in principles of autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice, the code underscores the importance of ethical decision-making and accountability in therapeutic relationships. Continuously evolving to address changing societal values and professional norms, the BACP Code of Ethics is a dynamic resource for practitioners, guiding their commitment to professionalism, self-reflection, and ethical practice.
